  • Advising a shipowner on his claims against hull insurers and brokers in Indonesian and UK litigation following the total loss of a newly delivered vessel, in a typhoon off Korea
  • Acting for owners of the “Nicorette” a maxi yacht, damaged by a collision in the Fastnet race. After a very favorable settlement, she went on to win the Fastnet in both 1995 and in 1997, the latter race under the new name of “Royal Blue”.
  • Advising charterers after the grounding of their laden container vessel.
  • Advising owners of towage vessels after their arrest, following the EVOIKOS collision off Singapore, then the worst oil spill in Singapore’s history . The case involved tow-worthiness.
  • Acting for cargo interests in relation to car carrier involved in collision sinking near Singapore.  About 4,000 cars were onboard.
